Computer engineering focuses on the design, analysis and application of computers and on their applications as components of systems. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M sustains and strengthens its teaching and research program to provide students with inspiration and quality education in the theory and practice of computer engineering. Research areas include digital integrated circuit design, computer architecture and computer networks.

A minimum of 30 semester credit hours of approved courses is required for the Master of Science degree.
**This report must be presented either prior to the approval of an application for exemption from the final oral exam (requires a minimum GPR of 3.0) or at the time of the final oral exam.
The MS degree is available as both thesis and non-thesis. Those pursuing the thesis option participate in cutting-edge research and will be well-prepared for research and development careers in industry or pursuing a doctoral degree.
