Class cancelled/Operations suspended

UPDATE: Classes and campus operations will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 22. Due to inclement weather affecting the Bryan-College Station area, Texas A&M University has cancelled all classes for Tuesday, Jan. 21. Additionally, all campus operations have been suspended. A decision about Wednesday, Jan. 22 will be made by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The Department of Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University welcomed a new faculty member this fall, Dr. Divya Bhargava.

Dr. Divya Bhargava, Instructional Assistant Professor

Bhargava earned her doctorate and master’s degrees in aeronautical and astronautical engineering from Purdue University and her Bachelor of Technology in aeronautical engineering from the SRM Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai, India. Her research interests include aviation safety, human factors, accident and incident investigation, systems engineering and qualitative analysis.

“Since starting off this semester, I’ve really enjoyed interacting with our students and look forward to exploring the campus once it gets cooler!” Bhargava said.

When Bhargava’s not working with aerospace engineering students on campus, she enjoys cooking, traveling, hiking and watching baking competitions.
