Autonomy and robotics research at Texas A&M University is distributed across multiple departments. This includes the departments of aerospace engineering, computer science and engineering, electrical and computer engineering, engineering technology and industrial distribution, mechanical engineering and civil and environmental engineering.
The research encompasses fundamental technologies in artificial intelligence, machine learning and machine vision, along with technologies in the application domains of autonomous ground vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles, and robotics and systems of such unmanned vehicles and robots interacting with humans. The Center for Autonomous Vehicles and Sensor Systems, a Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) research center, carries out many projects in these areas. This webpage brings together the faculty and courses in this broad area of research.
