Class cancelled/Operations suspended

UPDATE: Classes and campus operations will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 22. Due to inclement weather affecting the Bryan-College Station area, Texas A&M University has cancelled all classes for Tuesday, Jan. 21. Additionally, all campus operations have been suspended. A decision about Wednesday, Jan. 22 will be made by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Every year, the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Wings Over Houston Airshow awards scholarships to deserving students pursuing a career in aviation or aerospace. This year, six out of the eight total scholarships awarded went to students from Texas A&M University’s Department of Aerospace Engineering. The Texas A&M students who received a 2023 Wings Over Houston Airshow scholarship are listed below.

The CAF Wings Over Houston Airshow is one of the largest civic events in Metropolitan Houston. The Airshow is organized as an educational event that provides community entertainment, celebrations of patriotism, military recruiting opportunities and aviation awareness. One of its primary purposes is to establish academic scholarships for local area students in engineering and aviation fields. The 2023 Wings Over Houston Airshow was held Oct. 14-15 at Ellington Airport in Houston.
