Eligibility
The Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Collin College is for first-time students, full-time students and continuing students who have achieved a high school diploma or equivalent and are pre-calculus or calculus ready as determined by Collin College. Students interested in the Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Collin College must first secure admission to Collin College.
First-time, full-time students should submit an application to Collin College and an additional prequalification form. Students must take engineering, math and science courses at Collin College.
Continuing students already enrolled at Collin College who wish to participate in the Engineering Academy program should submit a prequalification form. Students must take engineering, math and science courses at Collin College.
Collin College will provide pre-qualified students the link to the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application. Students should submit the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application by June 1 and all supporting credentials by June 15 to the Texas A&M Office of Admissions. Successful applicants will receive an offer of admission from Texas A&M to the Engineering Academy at Collin College and will be advised on how to accept the offer and register for courses.
Students admitted and enrolled in the Texas A&M Engineering Academy program are engineering students in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M and are enrolled at Collin College. Once enrolled, all courses must be completed through Collin College and Texas A&M University. Students previously enrolled at Texas A&M are not eligible to apply.
