The Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy at Houston Community College-Spring Branch is for first-time, full-time students and continuing students who have achieved a high school diploma or equivalent and are pre-calculus or calculus ready as determined by Houston Community College. Students interested in the Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy at Houston Community College-Spring Branch must first secure admission to Houston Community College (HCC).
First-time, full-time students should first submit an ApplyTexas application along with all required supporting credentials to HCC.
First time and continuing students at HCC who wish to participate in the Engineering Academy program must submit a Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy at Houston Community College interest form. Detailed information on securing admission to HCC, important deadlines and accessing the interest form can be found on the HCC website.
HCC will provide pre-qualified students the link to the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application. Students should submit the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application by June 1 and all supporting credentials by June 15 to the Texas A&M Office of Admissions. Successful applicants will receive an offer of admission from Texas A&M University to the Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy at Houston Community College-Spring Branch and will be advised on how to accept the offer and register for courses.
Students admitted and enrolled in the Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy program are students in Texas A&M University's College of Engineering and enrolled at HCC. Once enrolled, all courses must be completed through HCC and Texas A&M University-College Station. Students previously enrolled at Texas A&M University are not eligible to apply.
