As a Texas A&M University College of Engineering Global Program participant, students are required to attend “Raising Your Cultural IQ: A Cultural Competency Seminar.” This is a comprehensive seminar during which students will look at how different cultures communicate and how misunderstandings occur. Students will examine the stumbling blocks to effective intercultural communication and will learn skills to better prepare them for cultural differences faced while on their global program.
Any questions specifically related to a particular global program destination should be discussed during the pre-departure program orientations.
Refreshments and snacks will be provided for all attendees.
