This Aerospace Engineering Program is designed for students who want to build real world skills through hands-on projects that will lead to breakthroughs in the field of space research.
The Bachelor of Science in Space Engineering degree program will prepare students for the future of space exploration by creating multidisciplinary engineers who will study everything that is involved with taking humans to space.
Students who are accepted into the program will be taught by the best faculty from around the world including experienced astronauts. These professors will walk students through what they need to know to prepare for Texas to be at the forefront of cutting-edge space research.
Overview
This degree plan intends to prepare students to address the emerging challenges of enabling humanity to explore, reside and thrive in space, including the utilization of space to ensure national defense. This includes subjects such as space suits, flight models, habitat design and human systems designs.
Coursework will encourage students and faculty to help build real solutions for humans beyond our atmosphere while advancing ideas and projects that will shape the future of space exploration.
