Job Duties

Coordinates, researches, and writes research articles, profile features, and news releases highlighting current events and successes of the J. Mike Walker '66 Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Transforms complex information into easily understood content for internal and external audiences.
Proactively works with researchers, faculty, and students to develop content for the department.
Ensures clear messaging across all content and consistency with the college's and university's strategic goals and brand.
Manages the department’s social media platforms.
Creates and writes content for department social media.
Coordinates with department leadership, faculty, and staff to identify print material needs for events and recruitment.
Serves as a communications liaison to support department priorities within the engineering program.
