Invention comes to your classroom:
Activate Students’ Creativity and Critical Thinking

Invention Convention offers a free, flexible, hands-on curriculum that brings invention education to classrooms and showcases events nationwide. Through this program, students develop critical thinking by identifying real-world problems, exploring the role of inventions, and using STEM and entrepreneurial skills to create practical solutions. Invention Conventions happen through schools, after-school programs, clubs and other organizations. State and local Invention Convention programs are springing up all over the world!

Are you ready to inspire the next generation of inventors and problem-solvers? Join us for a FREE, engaging and hands-on professional development opportunity for Invention Convention Texas (ICTX).

This workshop is designed to equip K-12 educators with everything you need to bring invention education to your classroom. You'll gain a comprehensive understanding of the Invention Convention Texas program, powered by Texas A&M Engineering, and learn how to empower your students as creative thinkers and future-ready innovators.

What you'll experience:

  • Hands-on activities: Dive into the invention process yourself, from identifying problems to designing and prototyping solutions.
  • Curriculum exploration: Learn about the free, flexible, and standards-aligned K-12 Invention Convention curriculum available through inHub by The Henry Ford, which guides students through the seven steps of invention.
  • Program insights: Understand how your students can participate locally, advance to the state-level Invention Convention Texas competition at Texas A&M University, and potentially even compete at the U.S. Nationals!
  • Networking opportunities: Connect with fellow educators and share strategies for fostering innovation in your school.
