Industry Mentored Projects to Advance Career Talent (IMPACT)
The IMPACT elective course connects industry sponsors with high-achieving second-year engineering students working in multidisciplinary teams to solve real-world challenges. As a sponsor, you’ll propose a meaningful project and engage directly with a team of four to five students applying engineering fundamentals, design thinking and project planning to deliver actionable results.
Students gain hands-on experience while building professional skills in communication, teamwork and technical reporting.
Benefits of Sponsoring an IMPACT Team:
- Early access to emerging engineering talent
- Opportunities to shape student skills through real-world application
- Increased visibility on campus and with potential recruits
- A preview of deeper engagement opportunities
