Program Description
The Grand Challenges Scholars Program (GCSP) is based on the National Academy of Engineering’s (NAE) Grand Challenges for Engineering. It is a multi-year, research-based program designed to prepare students to be 21st-century problem solvers. At Texas A&M University, through the GCSP, you will be ready to address global concerns through competencies that impart an ability to see the big picture, consider all aspects of a problem and create value for society. Through experiences such as coursework, research, extracurricular activities, internships, study abroad and volunteer opportunities, we will assist you in achieving the program goal of preparing tomorrow’s engineering leaders to solve the grand challenges facing society during the next century.
