By the sea, the Galveston campus is a special-purpose institution with a specific focus on engineering and science for the marine environment. You will have direct access to the Texas coast, frequent field trips to local ship-building and repair facilities, and field-based laboratory experiments on the beach or aboard university-owned vessels.
