Applications for the 2026 Charlie Weldon ’90 Endowed Meloy Scholarship will open April 1-15, 2026. Recipients will be notified no later than April 30, 2026.
The Meloy Program is proud to offer the Charlie Weldon ’90 Endowed Scholarship to undergraduate engineering students who demonstrate strong academic achievement, active campus and community involvement and financial need. Named in honor of Charlie Weldon, a 1990 engineering graduate of Texas A&M, this scholarship supports students who reflect the values of hard work, service and innovation.
Award
$4,000 for one year, divided equally between the fall and spring semesters.
Selection Criteria
- Academic achievement (minimum 3.00 GPA)
- Extra-curricular involvement and leadership
- Financial need (determined through FAFSA or financial aid application)
- Participation in the Meloy Program
Qualifications
- Full-time Texas A&M University College of Engineering undergraduate student in good standing
- U.S. resident
- Graduate of a Texas high school
- Current FAFSA or relevant financial aid documentation on file
- Minimum 3.00 GPA
