What is Multidisciplinary Engineering Technology?

Multidisciplinary Engineering Technology (MXET) is an engineering field that blends multiple engineering and technology disciplines to solve complex challenges in industry and product development. Unlike traditional fields centered on a specific area, MXET equips graduates with the versatility to succeed across diverse industries.

Two Tracks

The MXET program offers two specialized tracks:

  • Mechatronics track – students earn a Bachelor of Science degree in MXET
  • STEM Educator track – students earn a Bachelor of Science degree in MXET along with teacher certification in engineering, math, and physical science for use in secondary education
