Vision Statement

Provide a high-quality undergraduate education with a multidisciplinary curriculum that evolves to keep pace with the rapid growth of engineering and technology in various areas of mechatronics engineering.

Mission Statement

Prepare the graduates for immediate impact and long-term career success by providing a real-world experiential education coupled with personalized undergraduate experiences in mechanical, electronic, control, computer, communication systems, and robotics.

Program Educational Objectives

  1. Graduates are engaged in building and using technical knowledge of the design, manufacture, supply chain, and service of complex systems that span multiple engineering technology disciplines.
  2. Graduates are providing leadership in their respective organizations.

  4. Graduates practice high standards of professional ethics in their careers.

Student Outcomes

At the time of graduation, a Multidisciplinary Engineering Technology student has:

  1. an ability to apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline;
  2. an ability to design systems, components, or processes meeting specified needs for broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline;
  3. an ability to apply written, oral, and graphical communication in broadly-defined technical and non-technical environments; and an ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature;
  4. an ability to conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments and to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes; and
  5. an ability to function effectively as a member as well as a leader on technical teams.
