Aggie Artificial Intelligence Society - AAIS

The purpose of the Aggie Artificial Intelligence Society (AAIS) is to provide resources and a sense of community to all interested in artificial intelligence (AI), including a forum for discussion for all students interested in AI, practical AI implementations, updates on current research and career networking.

Alpha Pi Mu (APM), National Industrial Engineering Honors Society

Alpha Pi Mu is the only nationally recognized honor society for the industrial engineering (IE) profession. The Texas A&M chapter, established in 1958, prides itself in providing high achieving upperclassmen industrial and systems engineering students with opportunities for professional growth through exclusive events, industry connections and added faculty exposure. Their mission is to introduce and connect students to university faculty and industry representatives who are making incredible strides in their respective fields.

Active members have a broad range of industry, research and extracurricular experience. Each semester, APM hosts numerous professional and social events focused on providing members and new candidates “value-added” interactions to learn more about their major, career path and opportunities for personal and professional growth while still at Texas A&M. The Texas A&M chapter has been recognized nationally for their involvement and engagement in the future of the IE profession.


American Society for Engineering Management - ASEM

The American Society for Engineering Management at Texas A&M is an organization open to engineering undergraduate and graduate students. The goal of the organization is to be a channel for fellow Aggies at Texas A&M to the various aspects of engineering management. The organization seeks to advance engineering management in theory and in practice and promote the development of the profession of engineering management. In addition, ASEM invites members of the engineering management community to come to Texas A&M to speak at meetings. Join them for opportunities ranging from international conferences, seminars, networking opportunities with industry professionals, faculty and students, to all things engineering management.

Human Factors and Ergonomics Society - HFES

The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society student chapter at Texas A&M promotes and advances the understanding of the human factors and ergonomics involved in the design, manufacture, and use of machines, systems, environments and devices of all kinds through the interchange of knowledge and methods in the behavioral, biological and physical sciences and in industrial, computer science and other relevant engineering disciplines. They are established as an affiliate of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, Inc. and are organized to serve the needs of the human factors profession at Texas A&M.

Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences - INFORMS

The INFORMS student chapter at Texas A&M is a student organization for people interested in the field of Operations Research (OR) and Management Sciences (MS). Their mission is to encourage students in the fields of OR and MS and provide them with a means of communication. To achieve this, INFORMS organizes seminars by renowned speakers in the field. These seminars provide a great networking platform for students. Along with seminars, they also organize field trips to help students understand the current needs in industry. The active participation of students and dedication of the INFORMS team helped them win the Summa Cum Laude award from the national INFORMS organization. Membership is open and free of charge for all undergraduate and graduate students of Texas A&M interested in OR/MS. 


Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers - IISE

The student chapter of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers at Texas A&M University is an organization open to industrial engineering undergraduate and graduate students. The goal of the organization is to be a vehicle for fellow students at Texas A&M to the many aspects of industrial engineering. IISE sponsors trips where student members can see manufacturing operations research and safety theories that are taught by the industrial engineering department. In addition, IISE invites members of the industrial engineering community to come to Texas A&M to speak at meetings. IISE strives to enrich the community of Bryan/College Station via various volunteer events, including Big Event. Through these activities, industrial engineering students gain a broad range of knowledge and understanding about their major.


International Council on Systems Engineering - INCOSE

The mission of INCOSE at Texas A&M is to facilitate the development of systems engineers through educational assistance, networking opportunities, Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification assistance and leadership opportunities.
