Graduate Assistantships
Our graduate stipend for PhD students is $2,916.67/month or $35,000 annually. This support may come in the form of a research assistantship or a teaching assistantship. This base stipend level is the same for all graduate students in the department. In addition, tuition and mandatory fees are paid by the department or the research advisor. Students are also eligible for reduced-rate health benefits.
Fellowships
The University has several fellowship opportunities for incoming students. All applicants are automatically reviewed for their eligibility and no action beyond a submitting a complete application on time is needed to be considered. Students selected to be nominated for a fellowship or an award, you will be notified by email.

Competitive Scholarships
The Department provides several competitive scholarships yearly to high-achieving masters students. This scholarship provides students with a $1,000 per year award, which also carries an out-of-state tuition waiver, reducing a student's tuition to the in-state rate. All applicants are automatically reviewed for their eligibility, and no action beyond a submitting a complete application on time is needed to be considered.
