The four-year curriculum builds outward from a foundation in mathematics and science, extending into engineering economics, manufacturing systems, production and inventory control, operations research, quality engineering, simulation, human factors, and informatics. Together, these areas equip students to analyze and improve complex systems in which people, processes, and technology must function as a coordinated whole.

The program culminates in a senior design course, in which students apply the principles and methods developed throughout the curriculum to an industrial problem of practical significance — translating classroom knowledge into engineering practice.
