Energy imagine

Research in the energy space within our chemical engineering department focuses on the grand challenge of providing affordable and sustainable clean energy solutions for future generations. To address this broad challenge, research efforts include (i) novel technologies for clean energy, electrification, decarbonization and the hydrogen economy, (ii) enabling novel materials that will support and empower energy technology and transition scenarios, such as in batteries, and (iii) multi-scale energy systems engineering methods and tools, for the systematic assessment of energy scenarios from a techno-economic and sustainability point of view.
